Eduphoria Appraise
When accessing Eduphoria, the best browser is Google Chrome. If you use Internet Explorer must be one of the latest 2 versions of the browser.
IMPORTANT: Log into Eduphoria using your computer login credentials.
Instructions for Teachers
- Log into Eduphoria and select the Appraise application (if you do not see the Appraise icon on your home page, contact your appraiser and request they "capture" you in the system)
- Make sure your profile is updated to reflect your current assignment.
Instructions for Appraisers
- Log into Eduphoria and select the Appraise application (if you do not see the Appraise icon on your home screen, contact Sylvia Hoyer at shoyer1@neisd.net or 407- 0478)
- Go to the Evaluations tab then click Appraiser Setup in the bottom left hand corner
- Click on a teacher's name that you will appraise
- Click on the radio button "I will evaluate this staff member using" and choose one of the following:
- Remember the following:
- The teacher will not see the Appraise application on his/her home screen until an appraiser has selected and assigned the evaluation
- Once the evaluation is assigned, the teacher will have access to the blank Goal Setting and Professional Development (GSDP) document

Less-Than-Annual Appraisals
Eligibility Requirement
Teachers not selected for year 1 will be evaluated on year 2 of the two-year cycle. In addition to meeting the eligibility requirements in state rules, to be eligible for less-than-annual observations under the T-TESS, a teacher shall:
- Be employed on an educator term or continuing contract;
- Hold SBEC certification;
- Be assigned in his or her certification area;
- Have been employed by the District for at least one year; and
- Have served at the current campus for at least one year.
Exception Form
Teachers, who meet the requirement above shall be observed with T-TESS every other year. Any teacher who starts after the third week of instruction is not eligible for a T-TESS exception. The exception is valid for only one school year.
The teacher and the appraiser must do the following no later than the third week of instruction:
- Designate the evaluation method as T-TESS Teacher (Exempt) in Appraise
- Complete and electronically sign the T-TESS Appraisal Exception form (for Less-Than-Annual Appraisals) in Eduphoria Appraise (Eduphoria ---> Appraise ---> Evaluations ---> Select Teacher ---> New Evaluation ---> Evaluation Documents ---> T-TESS Appraisal Exception Form (for Less-Than-Annual Appraisals)
A teacher who is approved for an exception shall participate in:
- GSPD Plan Conference
- GSPD Plan (one goal)
- Dimension Study (Domains 1-4)
- 10-15 Minute Informal Observation (minimum of one)
- End-of-Year Conference
