How to Read Your W2
2018 W-2s are currently being distributed to all employees who received a paycheck in the 2018 calendar year.
If you have not received your W-2 or require an additional copy you can log into the MyPayInfo application to print or view your document. MyPayInfo can be accessed at https://mypayinfo.neisd.net from a tablet or computer using a variety of browsers.
W-2s are initially distributed to either the campus/department listed as your home campus/department within the finance system. If for any reason, a W-2 is distributed to an incorrect campus – it is forwarded to Print Services to be mailed. Unfortunately, we are unable to track the W-2 once they have been sent out. All W-2s will be postmarked no later than January 31 in accordance with Federal Regulations.
The Payroll department has also created a document that provides information on how to read your W-2. Please use the link below for information on the amounts being reported to the Internal Revenue Service

Prevent a Tax-time Surprise
The 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act made significant changes that may affect taxpayers’ tax returns that they will file in 2019. In February, Payroll implemented the IRS’s new tax withholding amounts, lowering the amount of taxes withheld from employees' paychecks. While many have enjoyed the extra spending money, the Internal Revenue Service is taking the unusual step to urge taxpayers to review their paycheck now to prevent a nasty tax-time surprise in 2019.
The IRS has developed several resources, to include YouTube videos and FAQs, to help you determine the correct tax withholding. Payroll has setup links to these resources on the department web page and recommend employees use them or consult a tax professional to ensure a surprise-free tax season.
Please understand that NEISD Payroll cannot offer advice to employees concerning the amount they choose to withhold from their pay.
