Anthony Jarrett, Interim Superintendent of Schools

Anthony Jarrett was appointed Interim Superintendent by the NEISD Board of Trustees in December 2025 after Dr. Sean Maika announced his resignation. An accomplished educator with over 25 years of experience, Mr. Jarrett previously served as Chief Instructional Officer, a key member of the North East ISD executive leadership team.

With North East ISD, Mr. Jarrett has worked closely with students, staff, and our community to increase student achievement. His deep familiarity with aligning strategic goals with district culture ensures a continued commitment to excellence during this interim period.

Mr. Jarrett officially assumed his role as Interim Superintendent on January 13, 2026.
