North East Independent School District

North East ISD organizes its 67 campuses into seven clusters, each centered around one of our high schools. A cluster includes the high school and the middle and elementary schools that feed into it, creating a strong, connected pathway for students from early childhood through graduation.

This structure provides several advantages:

  • Smooth transitions. Students move through a familiar feeder pattern, building confidence as they progress to the next grade level.
  • Community connections. Families and staff form lasting relationships within a cluster, creating a supportive network that grows with each child.
  • Aligned instruction. Teachers, counselors, and administrators collaborate across elementary, middle, and high schools to prepare students academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Opportunities to grow. Fine arts, athletics, and extracurricular programs are often coordinated within clusters, so students can begin developing their talents early and carry them through to high school.

In addition to cluster schools, NEISD offers a wide variety of magnet programs that allow students to explore specialized interests such as STEM, fine arts, health careers, and international studies. Any student in the District can apply to attend a magnet program, regardless of their home cluster. Transportation is provided to ensure access across boundary lines, giving students the flexibility to pursue their passions while still benefiting from the strength of the NEISD community.

NEISD clusters are more than just feeder patterns—they are communities of learning where students are known, supported, and celebrated throughout their educational journey.
