Welcome to 1st grade!

I am Kayla Martinez. I was born in San Franscico, California and moved to San Antonio, Texas when I was 11 years old. That is when I became part of the NEISD family attending Clara Driscoll Middle School! I graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School and earned my Bachelor's degree at Texas A&M- San Antonio. I am now proud to say I have been teaching with NEISD since 2017. This will be my 7th year as a Stahl Stallion and my 6th year teaching 1st grade.

I absolutely love my career choice and have known this is my calling since grade school! I dedicate myself to my students with engaging, challenging, and fun lessons to ensure they become successful learners! 

I look forward to collaborating with you and being your child's 1st grade teacher this school year!
