Summer Camp Opportunities

McDonalds Leadership Development Camp

Camp Mickey D’s provides students with a unique experience that connects what students learn in school to skills in the workforce. Students will be learning skills that will help them at home, in school and life. This experience will give students an understanding of what is expected of employees in the world of work. Their career readiness will exceed that of other young people entering their first job. This program is a partnership with the Career & Technical Education Department of North East Independent School District, and the Greater San Antonio McDonald’s Owner/Operators Association. Usually held in JUNE.

St. Mary’s University Leadership in Law Camp

St. Mary’s Leadership in Law Camp provides students an opportunity to learn about a career in the field of law through classes, guest speakers, field trips, and activities. Additionally, students will be learning essential college and career readiness and leadership skills. This program is a partnership with the Career & Technical Education Department of North East Independent School District and St. Mary’s University School of Law. Usually held in JULY.

Healthcare Professionals Camp

University of the Incarnate Word Healthcare Professionals Camp provides students an opportunity to learn about a career in the field of health care, specifically nursing, physical therapy, optometry, pharmacy and general medicine, through classes, guest speakers, and activities. Additionally, students will be learning essential college and career readiness and leadership skills. This program is a partnership with the Career & Technical Education Department of North East Independent School District and the University of the Incarnate Word. There is no cost to attend! TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED FROM A NEISD CAMPUS (The pickup/drop off spot might not be your home campus.) Lunch is provided. Participants must be a current NEISD student as of June 3rd AND a rising sophomore, junior, or senior. See the application for more details.


Design Your World Camp

University of the Incarnate Word Design Your World Camp provides students an opportunity to learn about a career in the field of Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design and Interior Design through classes, guest speakers, and activities. Additionally, students will be learning essential college and career readiness and leadership skills. This program is a partnership with the Career & Technical Education Department of North East Independent School District and the University of the Incarnate Word. There is no cost to attend! TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED FROM A NEISD CAMPUS (The pickup/drop off spot might not be your home campus.) Lunch is NOT provided.
