Camp Mickey D's - The Ultimate Summer Enrichment Camp

Who: Current NEISD 10TH grade students and 16 years of ageSybel Pici, owner of 3 local McDonald's restaurants, found a way to bring students, teachers and the McDonald's family together - Camp Mickey D's.
Sophomores from North East high schools experience that connection during an intensive, week-long program called Camp Mickey D's. The annual training camp is held at local McDonald's restaurants.
Students met each day of the camp for four-hour sessions of instructional lessons from a school district educator. The students then apply their classroom lessons working with coordinators of the participating restaurants.
Camp Mickey D's was created to "help pre-employment students better understand the needs of the workplace and experience first-hand the connection between school and work.
This program is a partnership with North East Career & Technical Education Department and the Greater San Antonio McDonald's Owner/Operators Association.
