Career & Technical Education

Mission Statement
Career and Technical Education in North East Independent School District prepares students to continue academic development and/or enter the job market with the skills necessary for their chosen careers.

The goal of career education is to equip students with the technical and professional skills necessary to succeed in today’s high demand occupational environment. One of the keys to improving student achievement is providing students with relevant contexts for studying and learning. Career Clusters™ do exactly this by linking school-based learning with the knowledge and skills required for success in the workplace.
