High School Digi Citizenship lessons

  • Why Teach Digital Citizenship?

High school students spend an average of 9 hours a day online. Social media takes up a large portion of that time, so we need to guide students on how to act ethically when interacting online. Their digital footprint will stay with them for years to come... let's show them how to leave a positive footprint that will help not hurt as they navigate the world of employment and higher education. By the end of high school, students will have a well-rounded understanding of the major principles of digital citizenship with a focus on preventing cyberbullying, appropriate social media use, effects of their digital footprints and safely navigating online media use.
