Churchill vs. Reagan for make-a-wish competition
Churchill and Reagan high schools challenged each other in a competition in honor of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The members of both high schools came up with three different projects that would be completed during the week of October 28.
Each school participated in a challenge to sell chain links that the students could buy for $.50 and make a wish, created and sold a T-shirt in honor of the game, and hosted a taco eating contest sponsored by Habanero's Grill. The restaurant donated 20% of the profits from the evening to each school.
The competition culminated during the Churchill vs. Reagan football game on November 1 where the students compared the length of their chains and announced how much they raised.
Churchill High School raised $2,541.57 while Reagan High School raised $1,122.00. Together they donated $3,663.57 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Churchill students competed again Reagan for a friendly fundraising competition.
