Out of School & District Testing

North East ISD does not offer Out of District (OOD) testing to students enrolled in other districts or virtual academies. If your child is an Out of District student, please contact your child’s school or virtual academy to arrange testing.

North East ISD offers STAAR EOC testing to Out of School (OOS) students only who are no longer enrolled in any school, in person or virtual.

Who should register for STAAR EOC OOS testing?
STAAR EOC OOS registration is for:

Examinees who have not passed a STAAR EOC assessment and are no longer enrolled in school but have otherwise completed requirements for graduation; or
Former TAKS examinees, including TAAS and TEAMS examinees, who have not met their testing requirements for graduation. More information for former TAKS examinees can be found on TEA’s website.

How do examinees register for STAAR EOC OOS testing?
STAAR EOC OOS examinees must register to test at a participating campus by completing the online registration form during the registration periods below:

Registering Information

Follow the Steps:

You will register under "Alternative High School."

The following procedures must be followed at the NEISD Testing Center:

Students must preregister by the deadlines given by TEA. NEISD DOES NOT allow walk-in registration.
Students must have a picture identification such as a campus picture ID, driver's license, military ID or passport. Students without a valid ID will not be tested.
NEISD will offer one test session a day, which will begin at 8 a.m. Check in will begin at 7:30 a.m. Students must present a pre-registration form and valid photo identification. Students must be seated prior to the start of the test session. Once a test session starts, the district will not check in or test late students.
Students must follow district dress code guidelines or will not be allowed to test.
NEISD does not provide lunch for students. Students may bring a lunch and eat it in the testing room. Testers are not allowed to leave the testing site during lunch and then resume testing as it is a test security violation.
A student who has completed testing are required to turn in the test materials and leave the testing site.
Test results will be sent to the last home campus of the student. Students must contact their last home campus for test results.
