Support for Pregnant & Parenting Students

If you are pregnant or parenting while enrolled in NEISD, you have the right to stay in school and work toward graduation.

Pregnancy or parenthood does not end your education.

The NEISD School-Age Parenting Program provides support, academic planning, and access to resources so students can remain enrolled, stay on track, and build a stable future.

If you need immediate guidance, contact our office at (210) 407-0194 for confidential support.

What to Expect

Starting the process is simple.

  2. With parent permission (if required), program staff will contact you.
  3. We create an academic plan to help you stay on track.
  4. If needed, your physician may request Pregnancy Related Services (PRS).
  5. We monitor grades, attendance, and connect you with appropriate support services.

Our goal is to reduce stress, not add to it.

Your Rights as a Pregnant or Parenting Student

Under federal Title IX protections, students cannot be removed from school or denied educational opportunities because of pregnancy or parenthood.

This means:

  • You have the right to continue participating in academic programs
  • You cannot be forced into alternative schooling solely because of pregnancy
  • You may qualify for pregnancy-related academic accommodations

Our program helps ensure these rights are protected.
