2007 Bond Project: Elementary School Metal Gym Replacement with Masonry Gyms & HVAC

 

The 2007 Bond Program included funding for Metal Gym Replacement with Masonry Gyms & HVAC at the following 15 Campuses: Camelot Elementary School, Clear Spring Elementary School, Coker Elementary School, Colonial Hills Elementary School, Dellview Elementary School, Harmony Hills Elementary School, Northwood Elementary School, Oak Grove Elementary School, Regency Place Elementary School, Ridgeview Elementary School, Serna Elementary School, Walzem Elementary School, West Avenue Elementary School, Wilshire Elementary School, and Windcrest Elementary School

2007 Bond Project: Elementary School Facilities HVAC Upgrades

 

The 2007 Bond Program included funding for HVAC Upgrades for P.E./Athletic/ Fine Arts Extracurricular Facilities for the following 23 Campuses: Bulverde Creek Elementary School, Canyon Ridge Elementary School, Castle Hills Elementary School, Encino Park Elementary School, Fox Run Elementary School, Hardy Oak Elementary School, Hidden Forest Elementary School, Huebner Elementary School, Longs Creek Elementary School, Montgomery Elementary School, Northern Hills Elementary School, Oak Meadow Elementary School, Olmos Elementary School, Redland Oaks Elementary School, Roan Forest Elementary School, Royal Ridge Elementary School, Stahl Elementary School, Steubing Ranch Elementary School, Stone Oak Elementary School, Thousand Oaks Elementary School, Wetmore Elementary School, Wilderness Oaks Elementary School, and Woodstone Elementary School

Project Summary:

The District's approach to add air conditioning to the existing gym facilities was as follows:

    Elementary School HVAC Equipment Package

    The HVAC Equipment Package (80 units varying in size from 3 to 15 to 20 tons) provides for all DX Rooftop HVAC equipment in support of both the Elementary Schools HVAC Upgrades and Metal Gym Replacement Projects

2007 Bond Project: Middle and High School Facilities HVAC Upgrades

The 2007 Bond Program included funding to retrofit all Secondary School Athletic/PE and Dance Areas throughout the District with HVAC systems. This project will address the following campuses: MacArthur and Reagan High Schools, Center School, Bradley, Bush, Driscoll, Eisenhower, Harris, Lopez, Jackson, Krueger, Nimitz, Tejeda, White, and Wood Middle Schools and the North East Alternative Center.

Scope: Upgrades at fifteen District Elementary School kitchens (funded under a separate project account).These campuses include: Castle Hills, Coker, Colonial Hills, Dellview, East Terrell Hills, Fox Run, Oak Grove, Olmos, Northwood, Redland Oaks, Ridgeview, Royal Ridge, Serna, West Avenue and Wilshire Elementary Schools.

Project Summary:

Bid Package 8: HVAC Upgrades at Bradley and Wood Middle School

Scope: Bid Package VIII: HVAC Upgrades at Bradley and Wood Middle School. This project includes the following design elements at both campuses: (1) replacement of the existing metal auxiliary gym with a new masonry competition gym including HVAC systems and seating for 500, (2) HVAC upgrades for the existing masonry gym and locker room areas, (3) lobby area and concession stand for the replacement gym facility, (4) public restrooms, (5) gym storage area, (5) athletic office area, (6) weight room, and (7) two 1,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose classrooms. Wood Middle School will also receive additional parking adjacent to both the new athletic facility and District softball complex. The project will provide athletic facilities at both campuses comparable to our new Middle School standard.

2007 Bond Project: School Bus Replacement Program

The 2007 Bond Program included funding to replace 130 existing school busses with new modern fuel-efficient busses. The School Bus Replacement Program purchased 138 new school busses (Model CE 300) with the latest EPA compliant engines within the bond approved budget.
