Wilshire Safety Training Center Bond Projects
The Board of Trustees approved the closure of Wilshire Elementary School in February 2025, effective beginning with the 2025–2026 school year. On March 2, 2026, the Board approved renaming Wilshire Elementary to the Wilshire Safety Training Center.
The Wilshire Campus has benefited from multiple bonds that have provided investments designed to support student learning, campus safety, and long-term facility quality. Bonds have established construction projects, supported facility improvements, replaced aging infrastructure, and modernized crucial systems that support essential daily operations. Over time, bond projects have helped develop a safer, more functional campus that better serves students, staff, and families. As a result, bonds continue to strengthen North East ISD schools and our San Antonio community.
