Harris Middle School Bond Projects

Harris Middle School has benefited from multiple bonds that have provided investments designed to support student learning, campus safety, and long-term facility quality. Bonds have established construction projects, supported facility improvements, replaced aging infrastructure, and modernized crucial systems that support essential daily operations. Over time, bond projects have helped develop a safer, more functional campus that better serves students, staff, and families. As a result, bonds continue to strengthen North East ISD schools and our San Antonio community.

2025 Bond

  • Direct Digital Controls (DDC) System Replacement/Upgrades
  • Gym Bleacher Replacement/Maintenance
  • HVAC System Upgrades - Chillers
  • MS Campus Tennis Courts Resurface
  • MS Gym Floor Sanding and Resurface
  • R22 Chiller Replacement (to include pumps, motors, and VFD's)
  • Repair HS & MS Campus Athletics Practice Running Tracks - Districtwide
  • Secured Entry Vestibules - Districtwide
  • Upgrades to HS & MS Music Practice Rooms (new sound proof seals, sound proofing, lighting, ventilation, etc.)
  • Upgrades to Parking Lots, Driveways, Parents/Student Drop-off & Pick-up Lanes - District wide

The 2003 Bond Program includes funding for a New Middle School with over 200,000 square feet divided succintly in three "houses"-- one each for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.

Note: Harris MS was referred to as "Knoll Creek" in the design phase.

The School Board "approved" construction budget can be found in the project Bid Award Agenda Item and represents any/all changes to the project resulting from the design development process and/or construction marketplace and inflation costs.
