Jimmy Littleton Gym Bond Projects

Jimmy Littleton Gym has benefited from multiple bonds that provided significant investments designed to support student athletics, safety, and long-term facility quality. Bonds have supported construction projects, driven facility improvements, replaced aging infrastructure, and modernized essential systems that support event operations. Over time, these bonds have helped develop a safer, more functional athletic environment that better serves students, staff, and families. As a result, bond investments continue to strengthen athletic programs and community engagement across North East ISD and San Antonio.

2010 QSC Bond

Littleton Gymnasium HVAC Upgrades

The 2010 QSC Bond Project at Blossom Athletic Center Littleton Gym Facility included: (1) replacing and upgrading all fourteen original HVAC air-handler and chilled-water piping systems; (2) upgrading the electrical switch-gear system and emergency power systems; (3) replacing the domestic hot-water heaters, main boiler, and hot-water piping systems; (4) replacing the existing fire alarm system; (5) installing HVAC systems in the dressing room areas; (6) upgrading the facility direct digital control system; (7) upgrading the competition lighting system over the main court area to 100 foot-candles; (8) upgrading the main arena ceiling system to a 2’x2’ grid; (9) upgrading the main facility sound system; and (10) replacing the existing scoreboards with a new scoreboard system.

General Contractor: Baron-Long Construction

Project Summary:

1The Bond Planning Estimate represents the original bond program costs developed during the bond planning meetings for each project and includes: Design Fees, Construction Costs, Technology Equipment and Installation, Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment and Construction Management Costs. The School Board "approved" construction budget can be found in the project Bid Award Agenda Item and represents any/all changes to the project resulting from the design development process and/or construction marketplace and inflation costs.
