Online learning made easy with NEISD

Posted by Lila Stanley on 3/25/2020

Like so many North East ISD families, the coronavirus pandemic has turned life upside down for Amber Rockwell. The switch to online learning has been even more complicated for her children after a house fire displaced the family over spring break.

Rockwell says a difficult time for her family has been made a little easier thanks to the kindness of teachers at Hardy Oak Elementary School, Lopez Middle School and Reagan High School.

“A family of seven stuck in a hotel room with only two Chromebooks was NOT the ideal situation for starting our online learning experience - especially with mom and dad needing to work remotely. However, our fabulous NEISD teachers kept us well-informed, organized, and confident that anything is possible. Our children especially love to meet with their teachers and classmates via video chat. It has been a blessing at a difficult time. Thank you!
