The first day of school is quickly approaching. As we begin to prepare for a new school year, the safety of our students, staff and visitors remains a top priority.

As a District, we have implemented safety measures that range from visible security features to discrete security measures that are purposely not advertised.

It takes all of us to keep our community safe. If you see something, say something.

The North East Tip Line (neisd.net/tipline) gives you a safe and confidential way to report a wide variety of safety concerns. You can also call the North East Police Department non-emergency line at 210-407-0925.

NEPD is a 24/7 police department.

Officers are constantly patrolling the District, even when school is out.

NEPD has detectives and a forensic investigator on staff.

There is at least one officer assigned to every high school and middle school campus.

Additional officers patrol elementary campuses.

But, it takes all of us to be #NEISDsafe
