Parent Message: April 21, 2025
It’s hard to believe, but we only have about a month left in this school year. It is an exciting time but it is also very busy.
As a parent myself, I know how quickly these last few weeks go by. We are starting to get focused on summer plans and graduations but I also hope we all stay focused when it comes to keeping our schools safe.
This year, we focused on the Click it Closed campaign – making sure doors are not only closing behind us, but clicking shut and locking. It’s a quick and easy way to keep our campuses secure. A locked door could save a life, so please continue to speak with your children about the importance of not opening locked doors for anyone, making sure doors are clicking closed behind them and if they see an issue to report it to school staff quickly so it can be fixed.
This is also the time of year for lots of end of the year celebrations. Please remember, all visitors must bring an ID when visiting one of our schools. We must all go through the check-in process at the front office. This is for everyone’s safety. So, please give yourself extra time so that our staff can do their job and get you to those celebrations.
Safety is a shared responsibility. Let’s finish the school year strong. If you see something. Say something. You can make an anonymous report to the NEISD tipline (neisd.net/tipline) any time, day or night. You can also call NEPD’s non-emergency line 210-407-0925. Both are safe, convenient options for you to report a variety of safety concerns.

Es difícil de creer, pero solo nos queda alrededor de un mes en este año escolar. Es un momento emocionante, pero también está muy lleno de actividades.
Como padre, sé lo rápido que pasan estas últimas semanas. Estamos empezando a centrarnos en los planes de verano y las graduaciones, pero también espero que todos nos mantengamos enfocados cuando se trata de mantener nuestras escuelas seguras.
Este año, nos centramos en la campaña Click it Closed, asegurándonos de que las puertas no solo se cierren detrás de nosotros, sino que también hagan clic en cerrar y bloquear. Es una forma rápida y fácil de mantener nuestros planteles seguros.
