John Paul
Good morning! It's a GREAT DAY to be a BEAR!
My name is John Paul and I'm so excited to be part of the Bradley family! The 2022-2023 school year will be my 31st year in education. I spent most of my career as an English teacher and a Head Varsity Basketball Coach before getting into administration.
I'm a Montana boy but moved to Texas for college, graduating from Angelo State University in 1991 with a BA in English. I received my Master's in Educational Leadership from UTSA in 2018.
I have two amazing children - Kennedi (19) is a junior Environmental Science major at UTSA and Noah (17) is a senior at Brandeis High School. They are wonderful young adults and doing their best to succeed despite their father!
When I have time, I work for Our Lady of the Lake University as their Sports Public Address Announcer. Yes, I'm "The Voice of the Saints." I have a blast bellowing names and getting the crowd into volleyball, basketball, softball, and baseball games.
I believe very strongly in servant leadership. I also believe that the positive climate and culture of a campus is the most important connection to engagement and learning for both students and staff. In fact, that is the very reason I wanted to be a Bradley Bear! I promise to do everything I can to bring energy and enthusiasm to Bradley every single day, and I am confident that this will be my FINAL stop in the field of education in Texas.
You will find that I've "never met a stranger" and I am quite possibly the biggest dork you'll ever know (both literally and figuratively). I believe "fun" and "learning" usually go hand-in-hand, and I will seek to develop relationships with Bradley students in order to mitigate discipline problems on our campus.
I look forward to getting to know you and our Bradley community, and once again, I feel most fortunate to be a Bradley Bear!
Sincerely,
Mr. John E. Paul, M. Ed.
