I am a proud product of NEISD!  I attended Montgomery Elementary, Ed White Middle School, and Roosevelt High School.  After graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1991, I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Southwest Texas State University (Now Texas State University) and my Master of Education Degree from Concordia Lutheran University.

I began my teaching career at Ed White Middle School teaching seventh grade reading.  I spent nine years as an Ed White Eagle before turning in my wings to become a Tejeda Timberwolf.  After Spending almost 14 years in the classroom I made the transition to administration.  I started my administrative journey with a quick stop at Driscoll Middle School followed by four years as an Assistant Principal at Lopez Middle School.  In 2011, I joined the MacArthur High School Administrative Team! Some of my duties include working with all students whose last names begin with A-C, ELL program, Graduation Coordinator, and I am the Administrator for theater and spirit programs.  I am starting my fourth year at MacArthur and am very proud to be a Brahma.

I have a quote on my office wall that reads, “A Goal Without A Plan Is Just A Wish”. I encourage all my students to aim high and make a plan and a path to get there.
