Senior Spotlight: Johnson’s Caleb Sebra

Caleb Sebra knows a thing or two about hard work. That grit and commitment helped propel the Johnson High School senior to the UIL State Wrestling Meet where he finished 3rd overall in the 170 lb. division.

“Hard work is the only way to get better and you don’t just get better overnight,” said Caleb. “Hard work is the only way to do it. I was District champ and I was regional champ so it was a really fun year.”

He’ll carry that work ethic into St. Phillip’s Community College this fall. Caleb plans to join the Electrical Trades program so he can pursue a career in the electrical field.

Caleb had a lot of big moments on and off the wrestling mat this year. One of his favorite parts was spending time with Johnson Wrestling Coach and art teacher Lee Miller.

“What makes him special is how engaged he is with the team and the athletes.”

Congratulations, Caleb, and the rest of the class of 2022!
