I am very excited to join the Jaguar family! I am entering my 18th year in education and true to my military brat roots; I have been blessed to spend my time in several different districts. After graduating from Mary Hardin Baylor with a Bachelor in Biology, I began my educational career at Ellison High School in Killeen, TX. This was a major adjustment for me in that I am a proud graduate of Killeen High School and Ellison is our rival school, but they afforded me the opportunity to utilize knowledge from my major, biology, and my minor special education, by hiring me to teach resource science. I spent four years with Killeen ISD before my husband’s job relocated us to San Antonio.
I was hired on at Judson High School red campus as a science co-teacher and I spent two more years in the classroom as I completed my Masters in Science Education along with an administrative certification. I then moved into administration joining the staff at Woodlake Hills Middle School. I was able to matriculate through three years at Woodlake and as my sixth graders matured and moved on to high school I left with them relocating to Round Rock ISD to be closer to family as my husband’s career moved him overseas.
I was able to spend a year and a half at Stony Point Ninth Grade Center before relocating back to San Antonio. During that year and a half, I completed my Doctorates degree in Educational Leadership so I returned to San Antonio with Ph. D in hand to begin my career with Northeast ISD. During my eight years in NEISD I have worked in administration at Ed White MS and Madison HS.
I bring with me a passion for learning, a desire to help students and the knowledge of working in four high performing diverse districts. Although my husband continues to travel my daughter and I have made San Antonio, our home and I look forward to this next chapter in my educational career.
