Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in volunteering in the Windcrest Library. Volunteers are an important part of supporting library events and activities. We appreciate your support! If you are interested in volunteering your time, please email lramir7@neisd.net or call (210) 407-9604.

Current library responsibilities include:

Wipe down tables with wipes or spray and tuck in chairs

Fix crayon/pencil boxes if it need to be organized

Sharpen pencils if needed

Empty pencil sharpener dispenser if full

Organize books neatly on the shelves and add books to the top of the shelves for display

Make sure the books are showing their spine

Fix fallen books and organize magazine area

Shelve books that are on the red cart

Make sure bookmark basket is full

Check in books from classes that come in and place them on the red carts

Check out books to incoming students

Repair any damaged books if needed

Ask Librarian if anything else needs to be completed (these tasks may include):

Making copies

Decorating

Delivering books to a teacher

Preparing for an upcoming event

Assist in an event

Help set up for a library lesson
