CTEC Electrical Students wire two houses for Habitat for Humanity

Students enrolled at the Career and Technical Education Center in the Electrical Systems Technology (EST) Technical Apprentice Program and their sponsors worked on two new homes in a Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio neighborhood on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.

We are excited for our students to participate in our yearly Habitat outing tradition. This year the program has completed 15 years of giving back to hardworking families to become homeowners. We have been working hard and looking forward to this outing since the beginning of the school year.

With the guidance of instructors and mentors, the electrical students took their knowledge they have learned in the classroom and applied it to a real-world application by installing the electrical wiring in two houses.

Thank you, Mr. Garry Kuntz from Hill Electric, for supplying lunch and giving our students an electrical demonstration.

We are extremely fortunate to have such great support from our electrical advisory board. Which not only gives back to our program but sets our kids up with their electrical career path after graduation.
