Outsiders Film Festival Submissions Open November 1

The North East School of the Arts "Outsiders" Film Festival is a high school short film competition honoring networking in the Bexar County, Texas Film Community.

Student films can be submitted until Friday, January 6, 2023, through our Film Freeway site. Categories include Narrative Short, Documentary Short, Animation and Experimental.

Middle school students are strongly encouraged to submit! We will have a special section of the program just for middle school filmmakers.

The Outsiders Film Festival will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023, in the LEE High School Performing Arts Center.

Please contact NESA Cinema Director Heidi Whitus at hwhitu@neisd.net for further information.

The Outsiders Film Festival began in 2009 as a collaboration between the Cinema program at North East School of the Arts and other educational film programs in San Antonio. The purpose of the festival is to promote networking among young filmmakers (under 18) from the San Antonio area, as well as to showcase their work.
