History was made #theNEISDway this week at MacArthur High School!
When the inaugural freshman class of 150 students walked on campus this week, they officially launched MacUNITED, our new Early College High School.
Thanks to our partnership with San Antonio College, when these students walk the stage at graduation, they’ll have the opportunity to leave with a high school diploma and an associate degree at no cost to them.
Jason Hendrick is teaching algebra to our MacUNITED students this year. He’s excited to watch the program grow and see our students embrace new opportunities.
“I’m excited for these kids,” said Hendrick. “This is an incredible opportunity for them to get ahead and make the most of it.”
It’s no secret that college expenses can be a major stressor on our families. MacUNITED was created to help ease that burden by offering a high-quality education with no cost for tuition, books, fees or transportation. When it’s all said and done, that adds up to a cost savings of almost $10,000 for North East ISD families.
