Financially and academically, you can’t beat MAC UP

Alyssa Conchas is just a junior at MacArthur High School, but she’s way ahead of her peers when it comes to racking up college credit thanks to our MAC UP program.

“I joined MAC UP because I always wanted to be a teacher. My dad is a teacher and for as long as I can remember teaching has always been my passion.”

MAC UP is a unique, cost-saving option for students interested in becoming educators. Thanks to North East ISD’s partnership with the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), our students can graduate with 50+ college credit hours, save up to 93% of college tuition costs through dual enrollment courses and get free transportation between MacArthur and the UTSA campus.

“MAC UP has definitely been a good fit for me. It’s obviously a great financial option so it takes pressure off me and my family. This program does a great job giving you both a college and high school experience.”

Join us for a MAC UP Open House event on Wednesday, Jan. 25, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at MacArthur High School to learn more about our program and partnership with UTSA. Visit neisd.net/macup to learn more about the program.
