Lice Info

We strive for utmost privacy with lice cases. Please also keep in mind that Texas law requires a general classroom notification when a case is discovered, and NEISD policy states that siblings at any school will also be checked.

Here's helpful info on Lice (pediculosis) to treat successfully the first time. (en espanol)

Important! Treatments may not be effective against eggs. Eggs hatch within a week and can begin reproducing 7-10 days later, so a second treatment 7-10 days later might help. Consult your pediatrician or product label and follow instructions closely to eradicate resistant cases or to prevent repeated lice cases.
