On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, we celebrate the 14th annual LEE-esta! This neighborhood parade and pep rally is a fantastic way to celebrate the LEE/ISA/NESA/STEM community. The parade route starts and ends in the band parking lot and campus clubs and organizations will host booths with food and activities. Food booth sales will include festival favorites like sausage wraps, corn in the cup, hot dogs, drinks, and more. Enjoy dinner and support the individual organizations hosting each booth with your purchases. The parade begins at 6:00 p.m. and will be followed by a whole community pep rally. Come celebrate with us on Wednesday!

A reminder to our students who participate in UIL extracurricular activities that the UIL eligibility deadline for the first six weeks is Friday, September 22, at 4:30 p.m. students must be passing their classes to maintain eligibility for participation. Students who may be eligible for a UIL waiver can request one from the ISA Main Office beginning on Monday, September 18, 2023.  Waivers should be completed and submitted to Mr. Magadance by Friday, September 29. Please contact Mr. Magadance at smagad@neisd.net with questions!

We continued to ask that ISA families return CEP eligibility surveys distributed in early August. CEP helps us ensure that all students are eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch at school daily. Thank you to families who have already returned this important survey! Surveys can be returned to the ISA Main Office. If you have not seen this form, please take time to ask your student about this important survey! Additionally, at the end of business Monday, September 18th, ISA will push out a text request offering families the option to submit CEP information electronically! This text will be sent to the parent/guardian who is listed as the Primary Contact in Skyward: Family Access. This notification will only be sent to families who have not yet responded to the survey. ISA families who do not have a text capable device and/or who have not returned the family survey can still return their paper copy to Veronica Villarreal in the ISA Main Office! Thank you to all of our families who have already responded to this important survey, and thank you to families who will respond this week!

Looking ahead, SAVE THE DATE! The Annual 9th Grade Community Garage Sale will be Saturday, September 30 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm., and directly benefits our 9th grade travel experience to Houston, Texas!
