Celebrating National Principals Month #theNEISDway
Cibolo Green Elementary School principal Amy Reasons-Copes has planted her family tree firmly in North East ISD.
It took root with her parents who both worked for our District. It was watered and cultivated during her years as a student at Larkspur and Stahl elementary schools, Wood Middle School and Madison High School. Those roots only grew deeper as she became an educator and administrator with NEISD. Now, it’s producing more fruit—her daughter and sister also work here and her children are proud NEISD students.
“Honestly, NEISD is just an extension of our family at this point. When I began teaching and then became an administrator in NEISD, it felt like I was home. I taught one year at a different district, but when I got back to NEISD, I knew I was here to stay. Being able to serve the District that has been part of my life for over 40 years is an honor.”
October is National Principals Month. It is a time to celebrate our administrators who work tirelessly to run our schools and support our students, staff, and families. For so many of them, their work is even more important because this isn’t just a job; it is their community—their family.
If you want to thank your principal, we’ve made it easy. Give them a Staff Shout Out, and they will be notified how much they mean to you.
