State law prohibits pubic schools from awarding credit to students who do not maintain the minimum attndance requirements. 

An EHS student who has excessive absences- more than 10% of the time the course is offered -  shall be withdrawn from the course and will not receive credit.

Students who are withdrawn for non-attendance are not eligible for tuition being refund.

Students who engage in serious and/or chronic misbehavior may also be withdrawn from EHS without tuition refunded.

Students will be marked absent for attending day school practices or functions if they miss more than 30 minutes of EHS.

  Missing more than 30 minutes of class during any period of time constitutes an absence.

       NOTE:   3 tardies = 1 absence

Evening High School students will comply with all rules in the NEISD student / parent handbook.
