The theme for the 2022 Founders’ Day Ceremony rings truer than ever – “Kindness is Courage.” Reagan High School hosted a virtual celebration on Thursday, Feb. 3, complete with a “Sound of Music” performance by Reagan’s talented fine art students. The incredible artwork for this year’s program was created by Reagan junior Anissa Quinn.
Founders’ Day marks the anniversary of the formation of the National PTA in 1897. The NEISD Council of PTAs was organized on March 15, 1960.
“Founders’ Day is an opportunity for the PTAs to recognize our volunteers, staff and community members who have gone above and beyond for our students,” said Shannon Grona, NEISD Board of Trustees President. “It is a reminder of the vital role that volunteers play in supporting our school and working on behalf of all children and families.”
Texas PTA life members were recognized, along with National PTA Life Achievements and Texas PTA Extended Services Awards.
