Celebrating Madison's 2024 Summa Cum Laude Students

North East ISD is proud to celebrate the Summa Cum Laude students Madison High School. These ceremonies honor the incredible accomplishments of the dedicated students who are graduating from high school with grade point averages above 100. These young men and women mastered every academic test we placed before them and exceeded the highest standards, but they wouldn’t be here without the teachers who inspired them.

Danielle Marshall is one of Madison’s exceptional Summa candidates. Tonight, she will honor her volleyball coach, Shannon Wolfe.

“Today I am honoring Coach Wolfe, my amazing volleyball coach, because she is very caring, kindhearted, and always challenges me to be my best. I learned many things from her over these past 4 years both on and off the court that helped me get to where I am: to play volleyball at the collegiate level. I am beyond appreciative for how she always pushed me because she knew that I could be better. I’m also thankful for all the memories we made and for that, I am forever grateful that I got to have such an extraordinary coach.”

Nathaniel Reed chose to honor chemistry teacher Robert Cummings.

“I am honoring Mr. Cummings because of his ability to teach AP Chemistry in an entertaining and memorable manner, his dedication to assisting students with academic and personal needs, and overall having a great personality. I have learned about the reality of the difficulty of college level coursework and how to overcome this adversity with curiosity, dedication, and patience. Because of Mr. Cummings, I have a greater interest in how the world works, not only in the chemistry that makes up this existence, but also in how people and organizations make decisions from empirical and rhetorical knowledge.”

Congratulations to the Class of 2024! Madison’s Summa celebration will be held the evening of Thursday, April 18.
