Montgomery’s teachers’ lounge just got a splash of color, thanks to Crayola and Walmart.
Montgomery teachers were surprised with a $5,000 Teacher’s Lounge Makeover today! Volunteers from both companies used $3,000 of the funds to purchase stylish furniture and décor. They assembled and arranged everything, giving the teachers a comfortable and “oasis”-like space where they can recharge.
In addition to the makeover, the teachers received a $1,000 gift card to help stock the new lounge with coffee, snacks and other goodies. Crayola also donated $1,000 work of art supplies to the school.
“This is just a very small gesture, so we hope you will enjoy it -- a place for you to relax,” said Walmart’s Amanda Dubose during the big reveal.
The reaction was priceless—teachers smiled, hugged and applauded the team being the makeover.
Montgomery earned the makeover thanks to a dedicated Montgomery teacher who applied for the surprise makeover earlier this year.
