The after school Strings program at North East gives 5th graders the opportunity to join the orchestra at their school. It meets twice a week after school on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 until 4:00. Students may learn to play the violin, the viola, the cello, or the double bass. Orchestra classes are taught by music teachers who love sharing their excitement for music with their students. The classes are free of charge. Local music stores are helpful and cooperate with students in their effort to find the instrument of their choice. There are easy-to-manage rental plans for every budget. The orchestra teacher at your school will help you find an instrument.
