NEISD announces 2023 Memorial Art Scholarship winners

Join us in congratulating North East ISD’s 2023 Memorial Art Scholarship winners!

In the high school division, Johnson High School’s Samantha Sipes and Ashley Pham from our North East School of the Arts (NESA) tied for 1st place with perfect scores on their portfolios. Both students received a $2,000 check to use toward their future art studies.

Reagan High School’s Barrett Nessler earned 2ndplace and received a scholarship check for $1,500.

In the middle school division, Mariano Navidad Rodriguez of Lopez Middle School won 1st place and a $200 check. Lopez’s Faith Norona earned a $150 check for her 2nd place finish.

River Gannon of Wood Middle School and Daria Surpless of Garner Middle School tied for 3rd place. Each student received a $100 check.

The Memorial Art Scholarship is funded solely through donations from our community. There are several ways you can give and support our incredible art students.

At Young Masters, parents and guardians will be able to “purchase" student artwork for as little as $1 as a donation.

Guests at Night Gallery will be able to purchase "red dots" for 25 cents to place on artwork that they like throughout the show.

Cash, check, Venmo, and Cash App payments will be accepted at both events. Check donations can be mailed to Analisa Shinn, Visual Arts Director, at 8961 Tesoro Dr. Suite 407.

All donations go directly to our NEISD Memorial Art Scholarship Fund, which helps support NEISD students in their future artistic endeavors.

Congratulations to our talented students and their teachers!
