NEISD student art on display in Austin

Art from Lopez Middle School seventh grader Faith Norona, Reagan High School sophomore Jacqueline Jose and Johnson High School senior Aiza Makani were selected to be part of this year’s Texas Art Education Association’s Youth Art Month Capitol Show. 

This exhibit showcases works of art from pre-K – 12th grade students across the state of Texas. Student art from more than 80 school districts will be on display at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin throughout the month of March.

Youth Art Month is meant to emphasize the value of art education for all children, encourages support for quality school art programs, and promotes the importance of art appreciation for all people.
