Tesla surprises NEISD seventh grader

“Today was super dope. I got to ride in two of my favorite cars!”

Kaiden Gafke is a seventh grader at Harris Middle School. His favorite brand in the world is Tesla. His favorite animal in the world is his show goat.

His passion for raising and showing animals inspired him to reach out to Madison High School’s Agriscience Magnet Program (AMP) about joining up as a middle schooler. Networking is a big part of being a Junior FFA student. So Kaiden decided to write letters to rodeo sponsors and explain what it takes to be in the program.

Tesla was at the top of his list. So, from August to January he wrote letters to San Antonio’s Tesla Dominion location. To his surprise, Tesla did a lot more than just write back. The company surprised Kaiden by picking him up and driving him around in two cars.

“I even got some merch from them which is super cool,” said Kaiden. “I can’t believe they’ve been planning this for months. I lost hope for a bit but I kept writing to them and persistence came through! They tracked me down and here we are.”

His reaction says it all. Watch the video to see the moment Tesla surprised Kaiden.
