Castle Hills and Johnson show appreciation to firefighters

On September 11, Castle Hills Elementary School fifth-grade students took pizza’s to the police department and fire department in the City of Castle Hills. They stood beside the memorial with the officers and said the pledge at the flag pole. One of the officers shared his story with the students and how he went to help during that time. The compassion didn't stop there as the fifth-grade students at Castle Hills partnered with the City of Castle Hills to help with donation for the victims of Hurricane Harvey. They collected nonperishable foods, hygiene, and baby items. These items were taken to City Hall where a few students met with the city officials when they dropped off the items.

The Johnson High School Cheerleaders have made it a tradition to thank their local firefighters for their dedication to the community. In honor of September 11, the squad members cooked dinner for the firefighters.
