About 400 North East ISD bus drivers and members of the District’s Transportation team gathered at Legacy of Educational Excellence (LEE) High School Wednesday morning for some training where they learned valuable information for the upcoming school year and heard from District leadership.
“You are the first people who see our children every day,” said NEISD’s Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Anthony Mitchell. “You have the opportunity to be a spark in that child’s life, to brighten their day, and set them on the right path.”
NEISD bus drivers make sure about 15,000 students get to school and home every day, logging more than 1,700 miles daily.
