NEISD Board approves minor changes to 2021-2022 calendar

At the June 14 Board of Trustees meeting, trustees approved two minor changes to the upcoming calendar.

• April 8, 2022 will now be a District holiday to celebrate the Battle of Flowers.

The Battle of Flowers Fiesta Parade is now scheduled to take place on April 8. Based on that change to the citywide event, the originally scheduled holiday on April 22, 2022 has moved to April 8, 2022.

The other change to the calendar:

• Castle Hills Elementary School will have early release on Aug.13, 2021.
• NEISD Extended School Year Calendar and elementary campuses will have early release on Sept. 10, 2021.
