Signing Day: CTEC students launch industry careers

NEISD seniors sit at their signing day tableEleven North East ISD seniors are graduating with jobs thanks to industry-level training, support and instruction at the Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC). Seven Construction Technology Academy students and four Transportation Technology Academy students committed to continuing their career and education during a Signing Day celebration Tuesday, May 25.

Each student signed a letter of intent to begin their career as family, friends and future employers looked on with pride.

The Transportation Technology Academy prepares students for entry-level employment in the diesel and automotive industries. Construction Technology Academy students hone their skills in trades like carpentry, welding, plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems.

One of the many benefits of taking courses at CTEC is the networking opportunities with NEISD’s incredible business partners. Students signed on to work for TD Industries, Alterman, Hill Electric, Brandt, Plumbing Today, Discount Tire, STR Transmission & Automotive and Complete Diesel Repairs & Performance.

Senior Alberto Sadler Stump signed on to continue his education at Texas State Technical College.

Congratulations and good luck to Miriam Montecillos, Keegan Joyce, Mark Carter, Cristian White, Blake Wilson, Diego Ponce, Edward Rojas, Emilio De La Rosa, Diego Rico, Alberto Sadler Stump and Brandon Steinberg.
