NEISD students take top honors at TX Japanese Language Contest

The 2021 Texas State Japanese Language Speech Contest was held virtually on Saturday, March 13 sponsored by the Japanese Association of Greater Houston and the Consulate-General Japan of Houston. 

The contest showcased students reciting poetry, haiku, and presenting original speeches and, moreover, featured a creative display of student determination, devotion, and tenacity as language learners.

Congratulations to the following students and Dr. Yuka Kato, Japanese teacher at Churchill and Johnson High School:
