Meet the 7-year-old impacting hundreds in heartfelt way

In an effort to help those facing homelessness, first-grader Ella Fall from Vineyard Ranch elementary decided to help by creating what she calls ‘Blessing Bags.’

“They are for people who are homeless. Those people on the road and sidewalk that you see. They might like those little signs and that is a homeless person,” she explained.

Each backpack-style bag is filled with things like toiletries, face masks, snacks and even a hand-written note.

“It means to me…it’s like love, you know,” Ella added.

Danielle Fall, her mom, said cards were a ‘must’ item for Ella.

“It’s inspiration to keep going. To smile and know you are loved and that you matter. It’s probably the only source of positive words in their life,” Fall explained.

When the word got out, the community and her classmates also pitched in to help.

One of them was first-grader Bennett Rose.

“I did one of the bathroom bags and a mask that I put in it. After that I did a lot of snacks in the bags, a snack bag. The people we’re giving these bags to, they don’t have what we have and we want them to feel like us, equally,” the seven-year-old explained.

Bennett and Ella’s teacher, Ms. Diamond, said Ella is the ‘Bronco Leader’ of the classroom and that her compassion is inspiring.

Ella has made over 150 ‘Blessing Bags’ and won’t stop there!

Next, the seven-year-old plans to make summer bags filled with things like water and sunscreen.

She hopes to continue doing things like this when she gets older and inspire others to do the same.

Ella’s dad, Chris Fall, said he is amazed and thankful for all of the support from the community.

“Her heart is showing through in wanting to help so many people. It’s just amazing that we were trying to make 20 bags to try to bless people and we are blessing over 100 people right now!”

Anyone who would like to help Ella create more blessing bags can contact Vineyard Ranch Elementary School for email cdfall@gmail.com for more information on how to donate.
