NEISD artists qualify for State VASE Contest

The results are in, and North East ISD is home to some of the best student artists in the state. Artwork from 100 NEISD students have advanced to the State Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) contest. This is more than any other district in the region.

Of the 2,020 entries at the regional contest, 1,305 came from NEISD students. In total, 100 of the 159 regional pieces selected to move on to the state competition came from NEISD student artists. The state contest will be held on April 25 at San Marcos High School.

Art from students at Johnson, Reagan, MacArthur, Roosevelt, North East School of the Arts (NESA), International School of the Americas (ISA), Design and Technology Academy (DATA) and Engineering and Technology Academy (ETA) advanced to state.
