NEISD student art headed to State Capitol
Five North East ISD students will have their artwork on display at the Texas State Capitol for thousands to enjoy. The exhibition is part of the Texas Art Education Association’s (TAEA) Youth Art Month celebration in March. The showcase features art from Pre-K – 12th-grade students across the state. Only two districts in Texas had artwork from five or more students accepted, and NEISD is one of them.
The students representing NEISD include:
- Rachel Kamata, International School of the Americas (ISA)
- My Le, MacArthur High School
- Daniel Ongmanchi, Johnson High School
- McKenna Tuveson, Reagan High School
- Isabella Vincenzes, Reagan High School
The artwork will be on display at the state Capitol’s Lower Rotunda from March 1-7 before moving to the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum from March 8-28. TAEA will honor the students and their teachers at a celebration and reception on Sunday, March 22.
