“I am so proud of how both teams exhibited grace and poise under fire,” said Roosevelt High School JROTC coach, Maj. Jamelle Garner.
Roosevelt JROTC Battalion’s varsity sporter and varsity precision marksmanship teams just got back from representing North East ISD at the 2020 JROTC Service Championship – Army & Air Force in Alabama.
“It was great to see us holding our own amongst other high schools in the nation,” said Garner.
This was a bittersweet trip for five of the ten cadets who went because they are graduating, so this was their last trip.
“It’s been quite an honor to be on the Varsity sporter team, “said Cadet Madison Montoya. “I will miss this when I graduate.”
