Roosevelt cadets explore career options at Rackspace

JROTC cadets at Roosevelt High School embrace every opportunity to use technology in the classroom. That mindset is part of what has made their CyberPatriot team such a success in recent years. Rackspace Inc. is a dedicated community partner and neighbor to the students at Roosevelt, which makes every opportunity to visit even more meaningful.

A group of cadets visited Rackspace headquarters to tour the facility and learn more about job and internship opportunities from industry specialists with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Many of the cadets on the tour are interested in combining a career in information technology (IT), cybersecurity and the military. Students learned about Rack VET, an initiative that’s tailored toward veterans, and other skills and programs that could one day lead to employment or internship opportunities.

“It was an honor to tour Rackspace because they are such a big supporter of what we do at Roosevelt,” said cadet Nolan Bodmann. “It was interesting to see the background of an organization closely tied with us and it was especially neat to see how much they support their veterans.”
