Roosevelt counselors win back-to-back CREST Awards

The counseling team at Roosevelt High School has been recognized as one of the best in the state for the second year in a row. The Texas School Counselor Association (TSCA) named Roosevelt as a CREST Award winner for the 2019-2020 school year. CREST stands for Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas.

Schools receiving the CREST award have demonstrated a commitment using the school guidance and counseling program to improve the lives and achievement of students in academic, career, and social domains. Counselors play a crucial role on every NEISD campus and provide guidance and support to students in a variety of areas, from academics to college and career readiness and social or emotional issues. They also work with students, teachers, parents and community members to ensure a comfortable, healthy learning environment for everyone on campus.

This year’s award winners will be recognized during the Professional School Counselor Conference in San Antonio on Sunday, Feb. 9.

Congratulations Roosevelt counseling team!
